Recently, under the overall coordination of the Zhoushan High-tech Zone Government, the chemical park supporting hazardous chemicals terminal jointly promoted by GON and Haitai Petrochemical-Haitai Petrochemical Terminal officially entered the trial operation stage. It provides the company with a stable channel for the transportation of raw materials by sea, forming a supply guarantee system of "water and land transport".
The terminal is equipped with an intelligent unloading system, a fully enclosed conveying pipeline and an emergency interception device, which meets the high-standard storage and transportation requirements of hazardous chemicals. The designed annual throughput can meet the raw material demand of GON Yisu's annual production of 1 million tons of polystyrene. After the terminal is fully put into production, the company's raw material procurement costs will be optimized, providing strong support for subsequent capacity expansion and industrial chain layout.
During the trial operation, GON, as the main styrene user in the park, actively connected with the government of the High-tech Zone to promote the construction of Haitai Petrochemical Terminal to promote the formation of an integrated collaborative network of "terminal-warehousing-production", laying a solid foundation for GON Yisu's 1 million tons of polystyrene annual production capacity.
At present, the company is working with Haitai Petrochemical to accelerate the construction of supporting pipelines and storage tanks to further enhance the supply chain guarantee capability. GON Yisu will continue to deepen cooperation with the government and industry partners, with a smoother supply chain, more stable supply guarantee capability, and a lower-carbon transportation mode, to fully build a safe, efficient, green and smart new industrial development ecology.
